11 Motif clustering

11.1 Motif sequence clustering

NBBC allows users to perform clustering on any combination of motif-associated features, including length, guanine content (%G), and adenine content (%A). This capability enables users to conduct a more focused search for motifs with specific characteristics of interest within the context of their research.

The output of the Motif Screen module within NBBC includes two figures, where motifs are represented by individual dots. The motifs are color-coded based on their respective clusters, and each motif is labeled by its corresponding gene or motif name, providing users with relevant information.

11.2 Interaction plots

The interaction plot feature within NBBC allows users to select motifs on the graph and view their details. Users can simply click on a motif of interest on the graph, and the app will output the specific details of that motif. This feature provides users with a more interactive and efficient means of exploring and analyzing non-B motifs.
